Trout Creek Ecological Reserve Bird List from 1987

Birds listed here were seen on the reserve or flying over the reserve. Nest records are indicated by an *.Red or blue listed species are designated by an R or by a B. There is an earlier list by L.Sirk from June 7-July 1977 on file. Many species on this list are dubious not only because I have never seen or heard them, but more so because they are in the wrong habitat for that species or are not listed in a current checklist for the Birds of the Okanagan Valley; for example, the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
